Breakfast will be served at the hostel. Lunch (Saturday/Sunday) and dinner (Saturday) will be served at the restaurant in the sports accommodation.
Total costs for all training sessions, your stay, breakfast (twice), lunch (twice) and dinner (once) will be € 130 per person.

Kihon A.I.K.O. Summer Camp 2020

Since 2013 Sportschool Kihon organises the Kihon Ashihara Camp. In 2020 we will organize this camp for the
eighth time. As always, all karate styles and organisations are most welcome to participate.
Date: The camp will take place from the 19th until the 21st of June 2020. To participate, all
registrations and payments must be received and processed before the 21st of May 2020.
Location: The event will be held in Zuid-Holland, The Netherlands, near Rotterdam.

A good mood and a lot of Karate-spirit! Don’t forget your Gi’s (at least two), your Obi, the necessary protection (shin/groin/mouth, a breast protector for the ladies, boxing gloves), towels and some cash (there’s a bar at the hostel). Bedding sets will be supplied at the hostel.
Grading:
There will be AIKO Ashihara Dan-grade and Kyu-degree examinations during the camp.
- AIKO Lifetime Membership is compulsory for grading from 4th Kyu and onwards;
- Dan-grade and higher Kyu-degree candidates (2th Kyu and onwards) must apply for their grading at least six months before the grading takes place, using the following weblink: http://ashiharainternational.world/dangrade-and-higher-kyu-application/. If there are any questions regarding grading, please ask your sensei, branch chief/country representative or the AIKO-board;
- Dan-grade candidates must have they’re grading registrations and payments made and cleared before the 21st of May 2020. The costs for a Dan-grade examination are € 160, which includes a certificate and Obi;
- The costs for a Kyu-degree examination are € 15 (including certificate; Obi not included). Payments must be made before the first training;
- To apply for a Kyu-degree examination up to 4th Kyu, it is sufficient to fill in the required fields of the registration form or to approach the organisation prior to the first training;
- The latest version of the AIKO syllabus will be leading at the grading and all candidates must attend all training sessions. Be sure to have a capable partner for the required kata’s and technical examination!
Check in at the hostel is possible on Friday, from 16.00 onwards. We’ll leave for the first training session at 18.30, which starts at 19.30. Of course you can travel to the sports accommodation by yourself (before checking in at the hostel), but be sure to be there in time!
